Two Women Arrested on ID Theft Charges

fort_pierce_identity_theftTwo women out of Fort Pierce were arrest on identity theft charges. The two women met while working at liberty medical. Tychell Robinson was the mastermind of the operation teaching Patrice Johnson how to collect unemployment while receiving student loans to go to a local college. Robinson also shared how to make thousands of dollars a month in identity theft.

The two women stole information from the computers at Liberty Medical as well as buying information from accomplices. It was well known the their circles that either of them would pay $50 for personal information of someone. The two women also used the identities to open checking accounts to get debit cards and order checks. According to police much of their activity was done over the Internet.

Patrice Johnson owns her own cleaning service and authorities believe that much of the information collected was from the offices where she was fort_pierce_identity_theftemployed. Authorities are urging any businesses that dealt with Patrice Johnson’s cleaning service to call the sheriff’s office.

After obtaining a warrant, police searched Robinson and Johnson’s home where they seized two cars, six computers, and a list of 300 victims. Robinson is being held on bail set at $10,000 and Johnson is being held on a $45,000 bail.

  2. Cleaning business huh that’s crazy. Many business protect themselves from thieves and whatnot but what about the people they pay to be there when they are not? Makes since. The Cleaning lady in my office comes in on the weekends when no one is there. She could get into all kinds of things.

  3. One of the reasons i don’t ahve a cleaning lady at home anymore (besides $$)is i don’t want a stranger going through my stuff. i know it should all be locked up, but we’re pretty slack.

  4. WOW if my cleaning ladies looked like that I think I might suspect something right away. A cleaning crew would be the perfect cover for an Identity theft ring. Just think they have access to everything that gets cleaned and that’s pretty much everything.
