Id Theft and Mortgages

    There has been a growing trend with identity theft and they aren’t buying TVs they are buying houses. According to the Attorney General there has been a new trend where thieves will steal someone’s identity and then use it to get a mortgage. This new trend has been seen throughout the country.

    Another version of this scam involves a ring of thieves. In this ring they use what is referred to as a straw buyer. They get someone in the group who has the best credit and can get the lowest interest rate and use his credit to get the load. The Leader of the theft ring will then takeover the house.
