LifeLock Reviews
February 7, 2008 – 3:38 pmThere are a lot of identity theft protection services available now, some better than others. LifeLock’s services and guarantee are one the best.
What sets LifeLock above the rest is that they help prevent identity theft. They’ll put fraud alerts on your credit records. And then, every 90 days when the fraud alerts expire, LifeLock goes back and renews them. Anytime someone tries to open an account using your information, LifeLock will contact you to confirm that it’s really you submitting a credit application. Just say the word, and identity thieves are stopped cold.
LifeLock will even take your name off junk mail and phone solicitation lists. Those pre-approved credit offers are more than just an annoyance and a waste of trees; they’re one of the easiest ways for criminals to acquire your personal information and apply for credit in your name. No more phone calls from telemarketers during dinner, and far fewer hang-up calls. LifeLock helps protects your good name and grant you relief from daily annoyances.
They’ll also provide you with a product called WalletLock. If your wallet or purse is lost or stolen, they’ll immediately begin replacing your documents. They’ll take care of your driver’s license, Social Security card, credit cards, insurance cards … any documents you carried will be replaced. If your passport or visas are stolen, they can even take care of replacing them. And this service they provide with no additional of charge.
Their service costs only $9 a month (only if you sign up using the promo code Defense). And, to add to your feeling of security, LifeLock is the only identity theft protection service that backs up their service with a $1,000,000 guarantee. If for any reason their system fails and identity thieves use your personal information, LifeLock will pay up to $1,000,000 to make things right for you. The guarantee applies only if you become an id theft victim because of a failure in our service. Other restrictions apply. See Lifelock.com for details.
You could do all of this yourself, but do you want to? You could cut your own hair, too, but most people elect to pay someone else so the job gets done right. It’s the same with your credit protection; hire a professional for the best results.
Click here to sign up with LifeLock and receive 30 days free* and pay only $9 a month.
*At the end of the end of the 30-day free period your cad will be billed automatically ($9 monthly / $99 annually) unless you cancel within the 30-day period. You can cancel anytime without penalty by calling 1-800-543-5625. Offer is for new members only.

I’m just not convinced that LifeLock is company for me. I just don’t think that there is really that big of a threat where I live. I mean I just can’t imagine someone from around here stealing someones identity.

The problem with your line of thought is that you can get you identity stolen at anytime from anywhere. You apply for a credit card and somewhere down the road your application gets stolen out of the mail. That person has everything they need to steal your identity.

unfortunately there are just too many places where someone can steal your information from. It’s really not up to you, thieves will steal if they really want to.

I have a Lifelock membership because I spend a lot of time over seas. I can’t afford someone stealing my identity when I work so hard for my money. I don’t want to deal with the hassle of trying to repair my credit if someone where to ruin it. That is why LifeLock is who I trust to protect me.

so I heard that transunion and Lifelock just teamed up to make placing the fraud alerts even easier. I think this is great news. I also find it funny that one credit bureau is suing them and others are helping them out.

$9 bucks a month is not a bad deal. You will spend a lot more than that if your identity is ever stolen. LifeLock is a good deal if you ask me.

I heard that the identity theft in 2009 is going to be even worse. It makes since though. I mean when the economy starts effecting working people you know that it’s effecting the criminals too.
By Lecroy on Dec 30, 2008
yeah Lecroh I heard that too. Pretty much everywhere I read they are saying that identity theft is only going to get worse in the up and coming year. Good thing companies like LifeLock are around. I don’t have the time to deal with credit bureaus.

I think that eRecon service is pretty cool. I think it’s cool that LifeLock has such a proactive view toward identity theft.

I just bought a LifeLock membership for myself and my daughter. I am very happy so far with the service. After the first day or two they had already placed the fraud alerts and I already feel safer

I hate Junk mail and sales calls. I have tried to keep my name on those do not call registries. I just don’t answer the phone anymore unless I know who is calling thank God for caller ID right. Anyways LifeLock should offer to keep you on the do not call registry.

I think that the Walletlock service is what sets LifeLock apart from the rest. These more to protecting your identity then just placing fraud alerts on your credit. LifeLock is a complete identity theft protection service.

LifeLock is a great company. I have not heard of one store where they didn’t take acre of their customers. I think they are a great company and I’m proud to be a member.

I have always been very pleased with my LifeLock membership. I haven’t had anyone try and steal my identity yet but I feel better that LifeLock is out there protecting me.

I think that LifeLock is has a lot to prove to me right now. I’m not sure if they can really do the things that they say they can. That and I don’t know if they will really pay for the things in the guarantee that they say they will. I just don’t know. I’ll have to do some more research.
By Lisa on Feb 4, 2009
You know when you take a step back and take a look at it LifeLock is a great deal. You get a company that is willing to place fraud alerts on all three credit bureaus, something I would never be able to keep up with, and they will pay for any damages done to you if your identity was ever stolen. Great I love it.
By Samuel on Feb 17, 2009
I’m just not sure LifeLock is the company for me. I am not sure whether or not I need identity theft protection or not. I do know one thing that I need to do something to protect my self from all these criminals.

I think that Walletlock would be great to have. I had my wallet stolen one day and I have to say I didn’t like calling all those banks and credit card companies to get my cards canceled and reissued.
