LifeLock Urges Consumers to Pay Attention to their Credit

January 8, 2009 – 3:34 pm

LifeLock is calling all consumers to pay better attention to their credit during the financial wellness month. As you may have noticed at the beginning of very year people make resolutions to change their habits and improve their lives. I can’t tell you how many diet and exercise commercials I’ve seen since the new-year. People are trying to get back in shape after all the fatty foods they ate during the holidays. Why wouldn’t you want to clean up your financial accounts and credit as well?

LifeLock wants consumers to take notice of their finances and the effect that identity theft can have on them. Some consumers are already aware of identity theft but many are still blissfully unaware of what an identity theft could do to their finances. It’s not hard to believe that identity theft is the fastest growing crime with 8.3 million people that were affected in 2007.

LifeLock wants consumers to not only get credit reports and review their credit but also take proactive steps to preventing a breach of their own personal information. LifeLock is the leader in identity theft protection. LifeLock can look after your credit and help you protect you identity. 2. I don’t think that people understand how important it is to keep from financial information updated. That and everyone needs a credit report from all three credit bureaus once a year. That’s 1 a year from all three which makes 3 total a year or you can do one every 3 months. That’s the only way to keep a good eye on your credit.

  3. I think that I’m guilty of this one. I don’t keep an eye on my finances as I should. I spend too much time watching TV and playing on the internet.

  4. Why wouldn’t someone want to watch their credit. I mean it is very important to make sure everything is going well and no one is using it.

  5. Taking a good hard look at your credit can do a lot of good. It’s like going to the doctor when nothing is wrong. It’s always a good idea to make sure nothing is wrong because by the time things go wrong it’s too late.
