Man tries to get his inheritance early, by stealing his Grandfather’s identity!

How despicable does someone have to be to steal their own grandfather’s identity? Just ask Arthur James IV, a 34 year old Delaware resident, who just wracked up ten charges of identity theft related crimes for doing just that.
As if just the thought of stealing your grandfather’s identity wasn’t bad enough, James did so while his Grandfather was being hospitalized for dementia. Using two fraudulent credit card James went on a spending spree to the tune of $8,262.28 and purchased such items as a Sharp Aquos 32-inch television and a Gateway DX4200 computer. Not only that, but while investigators were on his trail after a family member reported the fraudulent credit cards being opened, they found that James had been fired from his previous job at a car dealership. James had taken a customer’s check payment for a car, cashed it, pocketed the money and then used a fraudulent credit card to pay for the car. Kind of a “cash for suckers” program.
It’s reasons like this that you should place monitors on your credit reports every ninety days. It’s also a good reason to have prevention services like LifeLock. If you can’t trust your family, who can you trust?
