Taxes and Identity Theft – All you need is TurboTax and LifeLock
February 13, 2009 – 5:26 pmIt’s tax season again, are you ready to get that big fat check back from the government? I love getting my tax refund because it’s that little bit of money that you never planned on having that you can have fun using. If not for fun your tax refund could be used to pay for items needed around the house or repairs to your car. Whether or not you enjoy filing your tax return, I’m told there are some, or you can’t stand it everyone looks forward to spending their tax return.
Unfortunately for some people they get an identity thief that enjoys filing a tax return. In fact identity theft tax returns have gotten so bad that IRS had to open a special office to handle Tax return identity thefts.
What ends up happening to victims of this theft is when they go to file their tax return their application is rejected by the IRS. The IRS says that they are only allowed to file one tax return a year. This of course means that someone else has stolen your identity and has already filed a return.
This is just another reason to keep your identity safe. With the help of a company like LifeLock you can prevent unfortunate identity thefts. If you would like a discount on a LifeLock membership then use the LifeLock promotion code Defense. LifeLock is the leader in identity theft protection. Don’t wait till it’s too late sign up today.

Taxes is where a lot of people loose their identity. They file their taxes online and keep the files on their computer. Their computer gets hacked by someone and they get a hold of those files. I guarantee that the turbo tax files are the first ones they look for.
